Joyful Acres Woodland Pet Lodge offers a clean, healthy, and comfortable environment for your four-legged friend in a quiet country setting. With professional staff and state of the art facilities, Joyful Acres provides excellent service at reasonable prices. We are honored to have been selected "Best Pet Kennel" in the Best of Salem County awards program 2009-2024. Joyful Acres is owned and operated by Jason & Signe Bell. The Bells live on site and are on site managing the kennel most days. Joyful Acres is located at Elmbrooke Farms, where the Bells and their family live with four rescued dogs, Kunekune pigs, goats, sheep and an assortment of rare breed and heritage breed chickens. We hope to meet you and your pup soon!

Our low standard rates include extras that other kennels charge extra for (such as potty breaks and administration of medication). Joyful Acres dedicated and well-trained staff provide exceptional care for all our guests. Dogs interact with staff at least 8-10 times daily. Our guests get their kennel cleaned daily, and their water bowl is checked and refilled several times a day. Dogs have access to their outside patio for potty breaks at least four times daily (all day if the weather is appropriate). For the client who wants a pampering and unique experience for their pet, we can build a package as special as your pup. Available additions include exit baths, meal add-ons and treats, and individual play/cuddle/trail walk sessions with staff. If your dog has special needs, please talk with us about it. We can usually accommodate!

Joyful Acres has 65 indoor-outdoor runs with solid dividers on either side to give your dog privacy. Spacious standard runs and oversized run options allow dogs from the same household to be housed together for their comfort and companionship. Oversized kennels and “condos” are available to accommodate families with several large dogs
Joyful Acres has 65 indoor-outdoor runs with solid dividers on either side to give your dog privacy. Spacious standard runs and oversized run options allow dogs from the same household to be housed together for their comfort and companionship. Oversized kennels and “condos” are available to accommodate families with several large dogs or customers who want their dogs to have lots of extra space. The kennel building has radiant floor heat for the cold winter months and air-conditioning for the summer. All the outdoor runs are covered, so your pet can enjoy the outdoors all day long (outdoor temperature permitting) if they wish.
