About Joyful Acres

Since 1997, Joyful Acres Dog Boarding & Day Care has grown into the one of the largest kennels in the tri-state area.  With professional staff, on site owners and state of the art facilities, Joyful Acres provides first class service at exceptional prices.

Joyful Acres offers a clean, healthy, and comfortable environment for your dog(s) in a quiet country setting. We have 65 indoor-outdoor runs with solid dividers on either side to give your dog privacy.  Dogs from the same household can be housed together for their comfort and companionship.  Oversized kennels and “condos” are available to accommodate families with multiple dogs. The kennel building has radiant floor heat for the cold winter months and air-conditioning for the summer. All the outdoor runs are covered, so your pet can enjoy the outdoors all day long (outdoor temperature permitting) if they wish. Our guests get their kennel cleaned daily, and their water bowl is checked and refilled several times a day.  Dogs are taken from their run to our courtyard for potty breaks 4 times daily.

We take great pride in making sure your pets are well taken care of while they're enjoying their vacation as you are on yours. Some peace of mind offerings when your pet stays with Joyful Acres is that we provide exceptional care. Dogs interact with staff 8-10 times daily.  Runs are sanitized in between guests and bowls are sanitized after each meal. Dogs play only with dogs from their family and are not mixed together with other dogs.   Joyful Acres is central station monitored and has video survelance 24/7 for security and fire protection.  Also, the owners live on site for additional peace of mind.

Joyful Acres is owned and operated by Jason & Signe Bell who purchased it in March 2016 from original owners Connie & Garry Reid.   The Bells are hands-on owners and are on site managing the kennel most days.  Jason manages the kennel and farm full time.  Joyful Acres is located at Elmbrooke Farms, where the Bells and their two daughters live with two rescued dogs (Pep & Ginger), Kunekune pigs, and an assortment of rare breed and heritage breed chickens, turkeys and guinea fowl.  Pick up some Elmbrooke Farms eggs when you come to see us!
