Since 1997, Joyful Acres has grown into one of the largest and most trusted dog boarding facilities in the region. Today, we continue to evolve—blending experience with a more thoughtful, personalized approach to care.
Set on a quiet country property, Joyful Acres offers a clean, comfortable, and low-stress environment where dogs can relax, explore, and feel at ease. Our facility includes 65 indoor-outdoor runs, each designed to provide privacy and a sense of security, with attached covered outdoor spaces for fresh air and natural movement throughout the day.
We offer flexible accommodations for families traveling together, including oversized runs and condo-style spaces for multiple dogs or those who benefit from additional room. Inside, our climate-controlled building features radiant floor heating in the winter and air conditioning in the summer, ensuring year-round comfort.
At Joyful Acres, we focus on one-on-one interaction and structured routines to support each dog’s comfort and well-being.
This approach allows us to create a calm, predictable environment where dogs can feel secure and cared for.
For added peace of mind, our facility is equipped with 24/7 monitored security and fire systems, and the owners live on-site.
Joyful Acres has been owned and operated by Jason and Signe Bell since 2016. As hands-on owners, they are actively involved in the day-to-day operations. The property is part of Elmbrooke Farms, where the Bell family lives with their two daughters and a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, Kunekune pigs, Hog Island sheep, goats, and chickens. It’s a setting that reflects their love of animals and commitment to a natural, peaceful environment. (And if you visit, you might even want to take home some fresh eggs!)
We know leaving your dog behind is never easy. That’s why we’re committed to providing a stay that feels:
We want you to be able to enjoy your time away, knowing your pup is in good hands.
